Course Description: Provide insight into the basics of strength, hypertrophy, and power development and how to implement these appropriately in a sports medicine rehab facility.
Learning Objectives:
1. Name 6 resistance training strategies to improve strength, hypertrophy, and power development.
2. Explain why intensity matters and how to dose it based on the targeted goal.
3. Apply the various set and rep ranges to develop specific traits or targeted goals for patient care.
4. Name the 3 mechanisms of muscle hypertrophy and which one is most important.
5. Explain the various statistics associated with older individuals and losing muscle mass as we age.
