Course Description:

This course provides an in-depth exploration of high intensity gait training (HIGT), focusing on its definition, practical applications, and key parameters for effective implementation. Participants will examine effects of HIGT, gaining insight into how it enhances patient outcomes. The course also addresses common barriers to the adoption of high intensity gait training in inpatient settings and strategies to overcome them. In addition, learners will critically analyze a retrospective study related to HIGT, including its outcomes, study design, and inherent limitations. Finally, the course compares and contrasts the 6 Clicks assessment tool with Quality Reporting Protocols (QRPs).
