Course Description:

Through a fun and informative interaction session, participants will learn how to identify hEDS and HSD and their associated features and comorbidities. They will also learn about the impact of hEDS and HSD on patients’ quality of life and wellbeing through interactive lecture and case studies. A framework for treatment of the whole person will be explored including chronic pain and specific management strategies will be provided that can be implemented for patients with hEDS and HSD. Participants will gain a deeper understanding of the lived experience of individuals with hEDS and HSD and learn strategies and be given resources to further their knowledge and advocate for individuals with hEDS and HSD.
