Course Description:
This session provides a comprehensive review of the principles of functional electrical stimulation (FES) and its various applications in the rehabilitation of individuals with neurological injuries or pathologies. The course is designed for physical therapists (PT) and physical therapist assistants (PTA) to enhance their understanding and practical skills in using FES for upper extremity rehabilitation, gait training, and facilitating exercise in both the adult and pediatric populations. The course content is aligned with current best practices and evidence in neurorehabilitation.
