Course Description:
This course will examine the mechanisms, principles and influences on neuroplasticity and its role in neurologic rehabilitation. Participants will explore the scientific foundations of brain reorganization and learn how to apply key principles of neuroplasticity to optimize patient outcomes. This course will place special emphasis on the role and “priming” of aerobic exercise as well as discuss newer innovative modalities such as deep brain stimulation, non-invasive brain stimulation, robotics, virtual reality and brain computer interfaces equipping clinicians with insights into both current best practices and the future of neurorehabilitation.
