Course Description:

This course will provide a lecture on the neuroscience, assessment, and treatment of Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). We will review an adaptable framework to help you break down any FND case, organize your approach, and personalize your treatments to the person sitting in front of you. Participants will take away key information to help you get a better handle on differential diagnosis and know how to identify the positive signs of FND vs other neurologic conditions. Additionally, we will discuss the essential motor, sensory, and autonomic nervous system assessments to fully understand what's going on with your client with FND. We will utilize the latest evidence on how to optimize neuroplasticity and drive reconnection and restoration of normal attention and control. Lastly, the course will demonstrate how to apply these new treatment and assessment tools through complex FND case examples.
