Course Description:
Course Description:
Background And Identification Of Practice Problem: As healthcare evolves, physical therapy must pivot from a predominantly passive, modality-driven model to one emphasizing proactive, movement-based care. Rising reimbursement constraints, patient expectations, and mounting evidence in exercise science expose the limitations of dependency-driven treatment approaches. An urgent need exists for clinicians to adopt evidence-informed, strength-based interventions that empower patient autonomy and improve long-term outcomes.
Purpose: This presentation introduces the foundational principles of an active, strength-focused model for musculoskeletal care. It aims to educate clinicians on reframing their approach to exercise prescription and patient management through education and evidence-based strength training concepts that promote function, reduce pain, and align with sustainable healthcare practices.
