Course Description:

Cadaveric and Pelvic Floor Ultrasound for Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation is 2.5 day lecture/lab
course that will serve to enhance the learner’s knowledge on pelvic floor and abdominal anatomy
through lecture, cadaveric dissection, and use of real time ultrasound. Day one lectures will focus
on pelvic floor anatomy, urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and
surgical management of aforementioned procedures. The cadaveric lab will complement the
anatomic materials covered in class. Day two and three will focus on lecture/lab pertaining to the
use of real time ultrasound for transperineal and transabominal assessment of the pelvic organs
and pelvic floor to help to evaluate and female patients with bowel, bladder, and sexual
dysfunction.
