Course Description:
The Shneck course explores the integrated biomechanics and clinical reasoning of the
cervical and shoulder regions—areas that are deeply intertwined in physical therapy
practice. Participants will learn to evaluate and treat complex cervico-brachial presentations
by understanding the mechanical and neuromuscular relationships between the neck and
shoulder. The course emphasizes evidence-based assessment, neurodynamic testing, and
load progression strategies that directly translate to improved patient outcomes. Through a
blend of theory and hands-on practicum, clinicians will refine their ability to identify
dysfunctional movement patterns, differentiate structural versus functional pain sources,
and apply manual and exercise-based interventions with precision. Ethical considerations,
clinical documentation, and case management are woven throughout to ensure alignment
with professional and legal standards in physical therapy practice. Ultimately, this course
enhances clinical decision-making and equips therapists with a framework to confidently
manage the most challenging upper-quarter cases.
