Course Description:

Lower Extremity (LE) amputation is performed secondary to systemic diseases including diabetes, cancer, cardiovascular disease and trauma. This course will provide clinicians with information to apply evidenced-based practice to help patients maximize use of their prosthesis. The course will focus on prosthetic components, evaluation and gait training for both transtibial and transfemoral amputees to facilitate and maximize functional mobility and safety.
