Course Description:

This course will be divided into 2 parts: the first part will involve reviewing motivational interviewing (MI) history, techniques, and time to practice with the class participants. The second part will occur the next day and will involve going deeper into the philosophy of MI, discuss more advanced MI techniques, observe 2 case studies, and practice more challenging situations where MI can be used with patients.
