Course Description:

This course outlines the most current diagnostic criteria, evaluation, and treatment approaches for autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Rehab professionals will gain an understanding of assessment tools, intervention techniques, and strategies to provide family centered care. Frameworks and models of care will provide a foundation of direct treatment interventions for the child and coaching families. Through task analysis and environmental modifications, the audience will be able to apply these principles to their interactions with children and families in order for each child to reach their greatest potential.
