Course Description:

Healthcare professionals, specifically rehabilitation therapists, play a crucial role in the treatment and management of patients with cardiopulmonary disease. It is important for clinicians to have comprehensive knowledge of common cardiopulmonary diseases and conditions, prevention strategies, and treatment strategies for patients at all levels of care—from the ICU to the home and to the outpatient clinic setting. Rehabilitation therapists are a key part of the multidisciplinary team approach to caring for cardiopulmonary patients. This course will help to enhance knowledge on this patient population and be able to care for cardiopulmonary patients more effectively.
