Course Description:

Rehabilitation of patients with right hemisphere dysfunction (RHD) involves a multidisciplinary team. All members must have the knowledge and skills to assess and treat the associated communication, cognition, perception, and mobility deficits. This course discusses the disorders associated with RHD, tools to assess deficits, and treatment techniques to help patients regain their ability to effectively communicate, safely navigate their environment, and perform activities of daily living. Treatment strategies for neglect, cognitive-communication deficits, and anosognosia are presented.
