Course Description:

This course prepares physical and occupational therapy providers who are new to acute care by introducing key roles, workflows, and safety considerations. Participants will explore the structure and priorities of the acute care environment, including hospital orientation, patient prioritization, effective documentation, and interdisciplinary communication. Real-world case examples guide learners through critical skills in discharge planning, patient management safety, and co-treatment strategies.
