Course Description:

This course equips rehabilitation professionals with key strategies for managing chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) in home care settings. Learners will obtain foundational knowledge of the pathophysiology of COPD, common symptoms, exacerbation triggers, and evidence-based pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. You will learn how to optimize interdisciplinary care, enhance patient education, and implement the COPD National Action Plan to effectively manage COPD and prevent hospital readmissions. This course teaches rehab professionals the pathophysiology of COPD and management strategies to prevent readmissions.
