Course Description:

This course for physical therapy professionals presents best practices for treating individuals living with dementia. A series of case studies model how to use the 5Ms Model to create meaningful, comprehensive treatment plans for people living with various severities of dementia. Strategies to engage the care team for consistency and best practices in documentation to ensure the individual receives the appropriate dose of therapy are presented. Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is outside the scope of this course.
