Course Description:

This course introduces the use of functional electrical stimulation (FES) within task-specific training to support functional movement. Participants will learn key FES parameters, identify muscles commonly stimulated during functional tasks, and develop an understanding of proper setup, electrode placement, and positioning to optimize functional outcomes. The course also defines somatosensory stimulation and reviews appropriate setup and parameters to enhance sensory input and motor performance.
