Course Description:
This course consists of a prerecorded lecture on screening of the cervical spine, evidence on use of spinal manipulation, and how to integrate it into clinical practice. Learners will be guided into the current state of the evidence on the screening recommended for safe application of cervical spine manipulation, and understanding relative risks, in a shared decision-making framework. pre lecture article review on current cervical spine treatment-based guidelines, specifically clinical practice guidelines for neck pain management, shared decision making, and screening of cervical spine safety. Finally, an in-person hands-on lab focuses on the performance of cervical spine manipulation focusing on a technique at the lower, mid, and upper cervical spine, and guidance on how to reinforce changes made within sessions.
