Course Description:
The Kinesio Taping® Foundations Course is a hybrid program designed to deliver comprehensive training on the concepts and techniques of the Kinesio Taping Method® in an efficient two-day format.
Part 1: Pre-Course Online Learning
The course begins with an online Pre-course, providing an overview of the Kinesio Taping Method’s development, foundational principles, assessments, and screening techniques. Participants will also be introduced to basic Kinesio Correction taping techniques to prepare hands-on training.
Part 2: In-Person Training (Days 1 & 2)
The second part of the course will be completed in person. This segment advances into detailed techniques, clinical reasoning, and the application of taping for various conditions. Through interactive lab sessions, participants will practice assessments, screenings, and taping applications for both upper and lower body conditions.
Personalized feedback from certified instructors ensures a thorough understanding of the essential concepts and techniques. By the end of this section, participants will be equipped to apply the Kinesio Taping Method® to a range of muscular, orthopedic, medical, and neurological conditions.
This course also introduces advanced techniques, including Dr. Kenzo Kase’s Kinesio Medical Taping applications. Participants will learn step-by-step methods for addressing chronic conditions, swelling, edema, scar and fascial management, nerve taping, and both acute and chronic pain management.
Ample lab time is dedicated to practicing these advanced techniques, with guidance on clinical decision-making to optimize patient outcomes. Case studies and research are incorporated to enhance learning, allowing participants to design effective treatment programs using the Kinesio Taping Method®.
