Course Description:

This course provides an overview of skeletal muscle repair and the pathophysiology of muscular dystrophy. Participants will examine how genetic mutations impair muscle regeneration, leading to disease progression and associated complications. The course also explores current pharmacologic and genetic treatment strategies and emphasizes the interdisciplinary roles of PM&R and rehabilitation therapies (PT/OT/SLP) in the comprehensive management of muscular dystrophy.
