Breathe Easy: Airway Clearance in Action

Course Objectives:
Participants will be able to identify and/or discuss:
1.   Define the role and scope of airway clearance techniques within PT, OT, and SLP practice acts and frameworks.
2.   Explain key respiratory anatomy and physiology relevant to airway clearance, including gas exchange and cough mechanics.
3.   Identify clinical factors that impair airway clearance and describe evidence-based strategies to address them.
4.   Demonstrate active and passive airway clearance techniques and integrate them into interdisciplinary care plans.
5.   Document interventions and patient responses accurately, including clinical reasoning and discipline-specific billing.
