Course Description:

This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the evaluation and treatment of vestibular disorders with an emphasis on benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV). Participants will review vestibular anatomy and physiology and examine disorders of the peripheral vestibular system. The course will focus on clinical evaluation and differential diagnosis of the patient presenting with vertigo, including identification of red flags and appropriate referral considerations.
Participants will gain practical instruction in vestibular and oculomotor examination techniques, including oculomotor testing, and positional testing for vertiginous disorders. Specific attention will be given to differential diagnosis of positional vertigo and interpretation of eye movement findings to guide clinical decision making.
