Course Description:

This course will focus on the assessment and treatment of pediatric feeding challenges from a biomechanical standpoint. It will look at the development of feeding skills and the impact that tone, strength and range have on feeding success. The course will discuss how underlying motoric issues are frequently missed in the presence of behavioral and sensory issues. The course will primarily be lecture format with various "hands on" activities placed throughout the lecture.
