Course Description:

This course provides physical therapist residency mentors with foundational pedagogical principles specific to health professions education. Participants will explore competency-based education frameworks, intentional strategies to enhance clinical reasoning development, and the role of metacognition in learner progression. Through structured discussion and cross-program collaboration, mentors will learn to design educational plans that align outcomes, assessments, and teaching strategies while promoting consistency and effectiveness in mentorship practices across UW Health residency programs.
